Just arrived home yesterday from my vacation in Maine. It was beautiful. The family and I spent the week with friends. We rented a house, and had enough space for everyone. The place was fantastic. I woke up this morning in my own bed expecting to see the ocean and the sun rising outside my window. Instead I was faced with the dark cramped room, that is the apartment we rent in Troy.
Don't get me wrong. I love our home. However, spending time in a large open house so close to the ocean has made me even more determined to move to North Carolina in five years time. Speaking of which, we have an annual trip we take every August to NC to visit my mother-in-law. So there is something to look forward too as well.
This week was just so much fun. We had a blast with our friends and their son. We shopped, ate, went to the beach and even took in a show. Bob Marley, the comedian, not the very dead singer. It was just an amazing trip. I can not wait to do it again.
Now, back to the real world stuff. I do have all of today and tomorrow off as part of my vacation time. During this time I plan to write, of course. I received the winners copies of Immortal Slumber yesterday when I arrived home. They have been signed and await the post on Tuesday.
As far as news goes, I really don't have any. I am starting book three of The Crawford Witch Chronicles, Collision of Fates. I have begun work on Earthbound, but have not gotten very far with it. I am hoping to complete the first draft of Blood Rites by tomorrow and start the first round of edits. Also, I think I may start book four in The Beast Within Series. I think I have been away from it for far too long. (The Beast Within: Book One March 4, 2017)
Anyway, with the summer months I usually write a bit less than in the winter, for obvious reasons. But joining in NaNoWriMo this month may shake that up a bit. Hope everyone is having a great summer so far. I look forward to the reviews, I know so many of you have been waiting a long time for Immortal Slumber. I have no doubts you'll want to let me know how much you hate it, lol.
